Getting Greener
Finch Fotography is a member of Greener Photography, an organization of photographers committed to reducing waste and protecting the environment.
Most of what we do to be green is "behind the scenes." We recycle or reuse 90%+ of our business-generated waste (mostly paper and cardboard). We turn off our computers and monitors
when not in use. We keep our thermostat set at 65 degrees in the winter and 78 degrees in the summer.
While these and other efforts will largely go unnoticed by you, our clients, you will notice our efforts to reuse packaging/shipping materials. You will most likely receive your prints and other photography products in a reused package (clear plastic bags to protect your prints, cardboard boxes for shipping, etc.). While custom packaging looks nice, we know that it will most likely end up in a landfill.
You can rest assured that our efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle never compromise the quality of products you receive or the equipment we use to produce your keepsake photography. We only use professional photography equipment and all our products come from professional photo labs and other such vendors.

Wow, what a busy Senior season
We've almost wrapped up our High School Senior Pictures season. It was a great year with a lot of great seniors. Colorado Springs has a lot of bright, talented, and interesting seniors that we were privileged to meet and photograph.
Check out our senior pictures at www.719Seniors.com.

www.719Seniors.com
719Seniors.com is the new, uber-cool "senior division" of Finch Fotography. For over 4 years now, Finch Fotography has been gaining recognition throughout Colorado Springs for it's unique, fun, and creative senior portraiture. Seniors that want something different and fun for their senior pictures go to Finch Fotography. Parents that want the fun and unique images, along with some "nice, classic images" get what they want as well with Finch Fotography.
Why launch 719Seniors.com? The most basic reason for 719Seniors.com is that it's easy to remember! It's still Finch Fotography, but easier to remember. In addition, I've wanted to create a separate web site for our senior photography because, in many ways, it's very different than the rest of the photography work we do in the Colorado Springs area.
Finch Fotography is a small photography business based in Colorado Springs that provides great customer service, professional products and imagery, personal attention, and a fun photographic experience. We're not a Wal-Mart-like business that handles mass herds of customers day in and day out. We limit the amount of work we take on each year to ensure that quality and personal attention are not sacrificed in the process.

We are excited to announce that we have booked two weddings for August 2007 at Hillside Gardens in Colorado Springs. Hillside Gardens is a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding with great mountain views.
Becca & Tommy's Wedding @ Briarhurst Manor

Recent Work
I recently returned from Tucson, AZ where my family and I spent a week with most of my extended family.
While there, I did a photo shoot for RISEN and OverTime magazines. Below are some shots from that shoot.

Christmas Reflections
My reflections...
-Whatever your views on the Iraq war, may lives be spared, our troops come home soon and the Iraqi people enjoy the peace and freedoms we enjoy here in the US.
-Let us not forget the millions displaced by the hurricanes of 2005, be sure to donate to organizations that take of them.
-Remember that the most important things in life are FREE, but it doesn't hurt to give gifts from the heart to those we love.
-Glad to see those gas prices coming down, but lets remember to conserve, drive less, and pressure car makers to make more efficient vehicles.
-Let's remember the past (through photographs!), learn from it, cherish it, but not live in it.
-Take some time each day to show your love for others.
It has been a great year for the Finch family. My sister and her husband are expecting their first child and my brother and his wife should be receiving their adopted child in early 2006.
Finch Fotography had loads of fun shooting 3 weddings this past year and senior portraits for fifteen 2006 graduates; a special THANK YOU to all of our 2005 clients! We look forward to what the 2006 year will hold for Finch Fotography. We're investing in a new camera, lenses, and other technology to provide the highest quality products possible. We'll also be offering some exciting new products to our clients.
Finch Fotographhy would like to wish all of you only the best in 2006 and may you find joy and peace in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
